Location 📍

The Country/Region filter allows you to search for content based on where it was issued, indexed by "dateline." 

1) What is a "dateline"?

• The "dateline" represents the location (city and country) where the content was created or issued. For photos and videos, it is the location where the images were taken. For videos composed of multiple sequences taken in different places, it refers to the location most representative of the entire video. 

• For news dispatches, it is the location where an AFP reporter/correspondent is based, or if no one is on-site, the nearest AFP bureau, or the AFP office where the article was written. 

2) How to filter your news feed by a country or region?

• In the news feed, click on the "Country/Region" filter.

• Select a country/region from the drop-down list or type your search directly. It is possible to combine countries and regions. "My Selection" indicates the active filters. You can choose to remove some of your selected locations if necessary.
