The AFP Agenda is an invaluable tool which gives you access to all the news events reported by AFP journalists, in all fields and all over the world. This includes press conferences, sporting, cultural and political events etc.

Information is attached to the event, more specifically the location, date, description, as well as AFP coverage forecasts. In this way, you can anticipate your coverage several months in advance.

Tip: The time shown is in the time zone of where the event is taking place. When you open the viewer, you will also see your own time zone indicated.

For example: This event takes place on April 18, 2023, at 12 PM local time (UTC+8, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia), which corresponds to April 18, 2023, at 6 AM for the user (UTC+2, Paris time).

1. "Agenda" section

The Agenda lists the public events which have been translated into the selected language. You can return to it at any time by clicking on the word "AGENDA" in the top banner. The dot under the word "AGENDA" indicates that this is the active tab.

2. Searching – "Events" tab

  • Only one language can be viewed at a time. An event translated into several languages will appear once in each of these languages.

  • The main news of the day has a red border.

Accessing the Agenda in restricted mode:

If the user's subscription does not include the diary, the following rules apply:

  • The list of events in the diary or the list following a search is limited to the next 24 hours.
If an event starts after this period, you will receive a message inviting you to approach the sales representative to access the entire diary.

  • The viewer of an event within the next 24 hours displays it in truncated form: only the title and any associated contents are displayed.

  • However, all past events are freely accessible. This applies more specifically to all events that began in the past, even if they are still in progress when viewed.
